St Raymond JV Basketball improved to (3-2, 2-0) on the young season with a road win against Archbishop Stepinac on Friday night in White Plains. The middle game of the CHSAA NY AA Triple Header saw St Rays lead from start to finish after beginning the game on a 17-2 run in the first quarter. At the half St Rays led 28-8 and never looked back, eventually winning the ball game by the score of 63-39. The team was led in scoring by Markell Lake ’19 with 22 points (16 in the 2^nd half) and Jalen Reneau ’19 with 14 points and 8 assists. Forward Ahmaal Blount ‘19 was a force to be reckoned with on the inside, as he tallied 9 points, 15 rebs and 7 blocked shots. The Ravens are now 2-0 in league play heading into another road matchup against CHSAA NY AA opponent Mount St Michael in a double header with Varsity on Tuesday, 12/13.
