St Rays JV off to its best start in 3 years

The St Raymond Ravens JV team has had its share of highs and lows during Head Coach Chris Williams tenure with the squad (4th Season). Win, Lose or Draw one thing remains the same with the JV program and that is the team (regardless of year) will compete, play together and leave it all on the floor every game. That mindset and approach has continued with the 2019/20 Ravens and is a big reason they are off to one of their best starts in 3 years. 5-1/ 3-0 (CHSAA). Through 6 games the Ravens have shown an abundance of Confidence, Competitiveness, Togetherness and Grit. The Ravens displayed their Confidence and competitive spirit in a come from behind win against Christ The King after being down 20 points in the 3rd quarter. In a recent league matchup against Holy Cross they displayed Togetherness and Grit in a huge come from behind win. The Ravens were down 8 points to Holy Cross with 22 seconds left in the game and came back to win in overtime.

The Ravens head into a very important week with a 3-0 record in league play which includes a 55-53 victory at Home over Cardinal Hayes, the only loss for the Ravens (2019 Tony Iurilli JV Championship). The Ravens have big games this week at Mount St Michael (Fri) 5:30pm and host Archbishop Stepinac (Sat) 2:45pm.
